Side-Event: “The rights of the parents and children belonging to religious minorities”

The European Centre for Law and Justice (ECLJ) co-organizes with the European Christian Political Movement (ECPM) a conference this Tuesday, January 26 on the rights of parents and children belonging to religious minorities.

The event, sponsored by MPs Valeriu Ghiletchi (Moldova, EPP/CD) and Pavlo Unguryan (Ukraine, EPP/CD), will specifically address the natural and fundamental rights of parents to educate their children according to their religious values ??and beliefs.

A parliamentary report will be submitted for discussion and voting at the Parliamentary Assembly Friday, January 29 on “Access to school and education for all children”. It will be the subject of reflection in relation with the rights of parents belonging to a religious minority.

Grégor Puppinck, director of the ECLJ will speak at this event together with Leo van Doesburg, representative of the ECPM.
