The Council of Europe has lifted the diplomatic immunity of Thorbjørn Jagland, Secretary General of the institution between 2009 and 2019. The Norwegian politician is under investigation in his country on suspicion of “aggravated corruption” involving American sex offender Jeffrey Epstein.

Here is the official statement from the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe:

Surprisingly, the official statement of February 11, 2026, confirms that an internal administrative inquiry was indeed requested and conducted. “Conducted in November and December and concluded in January 2026, the inquiry aimed to establish verifiable facts and inform the Organisation’s response.” However, no results are included in the statement. The Committee of Ministers does not even give a general indication of the conclusions of the internal investigation, which suggests that it does not wish to reveal the extent of the Council of Europe's involvement in this matter.

Also on the agenda is the European Commission's decision on the pro-abortion initiative “My Voice My Choice” and our action at the United Nations for religious congregations that will not practice euthanasia...
