The French National Assembly adopted a law on the right to aid in dying on July 15, 2026.

What will happen next? Numerous appeals have been filed with the Constitutional Council. Will it partially strike down the law? Above all, are the members of this Council impartial? The ECLJ has conducted an investigation and found that 6 of the 9 members have publicly taken a stance on the issue of euthanasia and assisted suicide.
